Woodstock is a character from the newspaper comic strip Peanuts. He is a little yellow bird who is Snoopy's best friend. He was introduced in a 1966 storyline in which Snoopy had to care for a nest of bird eggs. When they hatched and the baby birds flew away, one of them, who had a lot of trouble flying, stayed behind and befriended Snoopy. He was eventually given his name in 1970.
